IQS-2600B Tunable Laser Source 

The IQS-2600B Turntable Laser Source is ideal for complete characterization of fiber-optic filters, multiplexers and other dense WDM components. These tunable fiber laser sources are the logical choice for instrumentation calibration and for measuring wavelength-dependent gain, noise contribution and the saturation properties of EDFAs. This tunable erbium-doped fiber laser delivers exacting wavelength accuracy for long periods of use. Wavelength can now be tuned over a wide range—1510 nm to 1612 nm. Output power is greater than 0 dBm over the critical 1515 nm to 1610 nm range.

This module light source features an exceptional selection of single- or dual-wavelength, singlemode and multimode light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and Fabry-Perot lasers. This source is an essential building block in many test stations, whether for IL, ORL or PDL measurements of broadband components. The FLS-2100’s ORL option enables optimal return loss measurements at 1310, 1550 or 1625 nm.

IQS-2300 ASE Broadband Source 

Designed for the IQS-500 platform, the IQS-2300 is a high-power, non-polarized C band broadband light source. Based on the principle of amplified spontaneous emission, which uses an erbium-doped fiber pumped with a 980 nm laser diode, this source is perfect for characterizing components such as filters, WDM couplers and Bragg gratings, as well as interferometry-based sensing applications. The IQS-2300’s non-polarized output and very short coherence length make it ideal for stable, repetitive insertion loss and optical return loss measurements.
