POWER METERS/SENSORS

8650B Series Universal Power Meter (8651B / 8652B)

The Giga-tronics 8650B Series Universal Power Meters have the extensive measurement capabilities and unique features required to test today’s sophisticated communications systems faster and more accurately.

  • Frequency Range: 10 MHz to 50 GHz
  • Power Range: -70 dBm to +47 dBm (100 pW to 50 Watts)
  • Display Resolution: 0.001 dB (Log), 4 digits (Linear)
  • Modulation Bandwidth: > 10 MHz
  • Measurement Modes: CW, Peak (Pulse), MAP/PAP/BAP

8540C Series Universal Power Meter (8541C / 8542C)

The Giga-tronics 8540C Series Universal Power Meters combine accuracy, speed, range and measurement capabilities unavailable from any other power meter. Built-in features such as power sweep calibration and frequency calibration factors provide an unequaled degree of measurement accuracy.

  • Frequency Range 100 kHz to 40 GHz, depending on sensor used
  • Power Range: -70 to +47 dBm, depending on sensor used
  • Choose from an extensive line of CW, Peak, Modulation and True RMS sensors
  • Single Sensor Dynamic Range:
    • CW Power Sensors: 90 dB (-70 to +20 dBm)
    • Modulation Power Sensors: 87 dB CW, 60 to 80 dB Modulation Mode
    • Peak Power Sensors: 50 dB CW, 47 dB Peak

8650A Series Universal Power Meter (8651A / 8652A)

The Giga-tronics 8650A Series Universal Power Meters have the extensive measurement capabilities and
unique features required to test today’s sophisticated communications systems faster and more accurately. The 8650A can automatically measure the average powerof pulse modulated signals orpulse signals that are amplitude modulated during the pulse ‘on’ period — such as TDMA signals.

  • 100 kHz to 40 GHz Frequency Range, depending on sensor
  • -70 to +47 dBm Power Range, depending on sensor
  • Linearity ±0.02 dB
  • Uniform Sample Rate of 20 MHz and Random Sample Rate from 2.5 to 5 MHz
  • 20 MHz Maximum Diode Sensor Video Bandwidth

8500A Series Peak Power Meters (8501A / 8502A)

The Giga-tronics 8500A Series Peak Power Meters combine CW power measurement with the ability to make precise peak power measurements at any point on a pulsed waveform. This dual, built-in capability lets you measure and analyze pulsed waveforms with a single instrument. The meter is available in a single or dual channel configuration.

  • Rise time < 15 ns
  • Sensor frequency range from 0.03 or 0.75 to 18.5, 26.5 or 40 GHz
  • Power Range: -20 to +20 dBm Pulse; -40 to +20 dBm CW
  • Measurement resolution is 100 ps
  • Measure the same point on repetitive pulses at over 70 measurements/second
  • Built-in power sweep calibrator with NIST traceable accuracy
